October 8, 2019 was a black day in my life. That day, our entire family was traveling from Lamahi to our ancestral home Arghakanchi , to celebrate Dashain when we lost my father and mother in an accident with a Scorpio vehicle, near a bend in the road in Narpani,Arghakanchi . My younger sister and I were severely injured. My sister suffered multiple fractures, while I sustained a spinal injury that left me paralyzed below the waist(Sacrum injury) with a loss of control over my bladder and bowel movements. After initial treatment at Chauraha Hospital, I was transferred to Vayodha Hospitals in Kathmandu, where I underwent spinal surgery. However, the paralysis and loss of control below my waist persisted. In search of further treatment, we received many recommendations for Gurans Hospital, praised for its quality rehabilitation care. Following my relatives’ advice, I was admitted on November 19, 2019, and began my treatment there. The doctors, physiotherapists, therapists, especially the hospital’s Executive Director, Narayan Bhusal who treated me with great compassion, caring for me as if I were his own daughter rather than just another patient. Thanks to the hospital’s family-like atmosphere, excellent physiotherapy, and the tireless efforts of the medical and nursing staff, I was able to start walking with the help of a walker by November 28 and with a cane by December 24. After a three-month stay, I was discharged, fully recovered. Today, I have no health issues. Currently, I am employed in government service in Chandigarh, India. Five years later, I had the opportunity to visit Gurans Hospital and meet everyone who contributed to my second chance at life. I am immensely grateful to the entire Gurans Hospital team, including the doctors, therapists, and staff. Their relentless dedication has not only restored my life but also the lives of many others who, like me, suffer from serious spinal injuries. By the grace of god,Now i am fit and fine and would like to dedicate this new life to my surgeons,guras team and my close one who helped me throughout my journey .
